Sergio Martinez is a percussionist, drummer, composer, arranger and educator born in Madrid, Spain 1977 Some of his collaborations as a performer and recording artist include top musicians from the international scene in different styles such as Paul Simon, Al di Meola, Ruben Blades, Diego el Cigala, Niña Pastori, Diego del Morao, Jorge Pardo, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Terri Lyne Carrington, Brian Blades, Eric Harland or Jamey Haddad to name a few. Sergio's dedication to sharing and teaching is a mission, bypassing the legacy of what other masters previously gave him.

He is deeply committed to music and to make the world a better place through it. Sergio studied with several percussion masters in Madrid (Neo Percussion and Taller de Músicos), and taught himself how to play Flamenco Cajon while touring internationally for more than 25 years in some of the most important theatres and festivals around the world. He is a Berklee College of Music Alumni with a Bachelor's degree from Berklee Global Jazz Institute at Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Masters Degree in Performance from Berklee Valencia. Sergio is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music Valencia Campus and he is also involved in forming students through social projects locally and internationally).
